IV. Membership Handicap Requirements

The SBWGA-18 adheres to the World Handicap System/Rules of Handicapping.  

1. A player’s USGA Handicap Index may change on the day following the posting of an eligible score. Each player is responsible for knowing her current USGA Handicap Index. Course Handicaps will differ according to slopes and ratings of the courses played.  

2. After a return from prolonged illness or injury, a player may receive a temporary handicap modification from the Handicap Chair in consultation with the Handicap Committee.
3. Any temporary adjustments to any player’s handicap will be presented first to the player, as well as the elected board.
4. To determine the course handicap for a particular course, the player should use the GHIN app (GHIN.com).
